Unfortunately, cancer has affected family members of each of Ribbon’s founders. During their experiences as caregivers, they found it impossible to find reliable medical information or communities of people sharing their experiences. This was the catalyst in founding Ribbon.
Living with cancer doesn’t have to be isolating and overwhelming. Whether patients are ready or not, a diagnosis is often the beginning of a journey that lasts the rest of their life. This journey is rarely easy. To navigate the road ahead, patients will need a guide. A guide that can explain the patient’s diagnosis, symptoms, and treatments, and what all these things mean for their health. A guide that is always alert to new developments and to a patient’s changing needs. A guide that is available whenever and however a patient needs them. Ribbon for Cancer is our flagship solution. An AI based social and medical platform for cancer patients and caregivers, in MENA region, built to educate, empower, and engage them to become advocates for their cancer care in order to improve outcomes and reduce costs.
Ribbon leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to positively impact care and accelerate research. The platform enables cancer patients to make decisions and achieve better outcomes by analyzing their health information and providing them with personalized options for approved treatments and clinical trials. Moreover, users are provided with tools to track their treatments, symptoms and outcomes.
The platform also harnesses regulatory-grade, real-world data and patient experiences, generating deeper insights and better outcomes to improve care and accelerate research. Scientific research based on real-world data acquired through Ribbon will be published and presented at leading health events.
